Dr. Eggman is the group's main enemy. He's a brilliant but egotistical scientist, obsessed with world domination. He has a great intellect and creates robots, giant machines, and complex plans to defeat Sonic, though he almost always fails due to his own arrogance. Metal Sonic is a robotic version created to surpass Sonic. He is cold, silent, and extremely fast. He has no emotions, only following his programming: to defeat Sonic at all costs. Infinite is a mysterious enemy with a mask that conceals his face. He possesses powers based on illusions and dark energy. He is dangerous because he can manipulate reality and exploit the fears of his opponents. Zavok is a strong and dominant warrior, leader of the Deadly Six. He is brutal in combat, with great physical strength and an aggressive personality, always seeking power and control. Zazz is another member of the Deadly Six. He is chaotic, loud, and violent, enjoys combat as if it were a game, and acts unpredictably. Dr. Starline is an intelligent and manipulative scientist who admires Eggman. Although he tries to be strategic, his obsession with order and control makes him dangerous. Fang the Hunter is a cunning, selfish, and opportunistic bounty hunter. He always looks out for his own interests, with no real loyalty to anyone.

Miles "Tails" Prower is a clever and resourceful yellow fox with two tails. He's Sonic's best friend and a tech whiz. He can fly by spinning his tails like propellers and is always creating machines, planes, and gadgets to help the team. He's kind, sometimes shy, but very brave when needed. Cream the Rabbit is a small, polite rabbit, always accompanied by her Chao named Cheese. She is sweet, respectful, and very kind, though in dangerous situations she also demonstrates surprising bravery to help her friends. Rouge the Bat is an elegant and self-assured bat. She loves jewels and treasures, and works as a spy. Although she sometimes acts in her own self-interest, deep down she's an ally of the group and knows when to do the right thing. E-123 Omega is a very powerful combat robot with an aggressive and direct attitude. He was created as a weapon, but he decided to rebel and now fights alongside his allies. Although he is serious and tough, he is extremely loyal to his team. Big the Cat is a huge, calm, and laid-back cat. He loves fishing and living a carefree life. He's not very fast or complicated, but he has a big heart and always helps his friends when they need it. Together, these characters form Sonic's extended group of allies: each with distinct abilities, personalities, and origins, but united as friends who support each other in adventures, battles, and moments of peace.

Although he seems distant, he possesses a deep sense of justice and a complex past that influences his decisions. Silver the Hedgehog is a silver hedgehog from the future with psychic abilities. He floats with ease and uses telekinesis to move objects. He is idealistic, emotional, and determined to protect his world, though he can be naive at times. Knuckles the Echidna is a strong, muscular red echidna, guardian of the great Master Emerald. He is serious, straightforward, and protective, with great physical strength and a strong sense of duty. He can be stubborn at times, but is extremely loyal. Amy Rose is a pink hedgehog with a big hammer and a cheerful personality. She is energetic, determined, and very emotional, with a strong will and a kind heart, as well as great determination when it comes to her friends. Sonic is known for his free spirit, always active and helping without hesitation. Shadow works alone, but his loyalty is unwavering when he trusts someone. Silver comes from the future and holds onto the hope of changing fate. Knuckles guards the Master Emerald and is very powerful in combat. Amy is brave and uses her hammer with determination against any threat.
