Shadow is a black hedgehog with red stripes, red eyes, brown skin beneath the sharp, soft spines of his somewhat muscular body, white fur on his chest, wears red gloves and boots with gold rings on his wrists and shoes, has violet crescent moon markings in prominent positions, and possesses a magic wand in the shape of a scepter capable of performing any type of magical spell, including dark magic.

Sonic is a blue hedgehog, 1 meter tall (3'3"), with green eyes, violet crescent moon markings on his cheeks, and a magic wand shaped like an umbrella capable of casting any kind of magic spell. Sonic is always a calm, gentle, cheerful hedgehog, sometimes a little childish and competitive. He has light fur beneath the short, pointed, soft spines on his body, wears a brown scarf around his neck, and red shoes with white stripes and yellow soles.

Shadow is a hedgehog who was created as a baby hedgehog in a laboratory by a scientist at a space base. From the beginning, Shadow had violet crescent moon markings on his cheeks with the tips in opposite positions. Due to certain events, Shadow managed to escape the laboratory and ended up on Earth, where he landed on an island called "Bygone Island." Wandering for a while, Shadow met a blue hedgehog who had the same violet crescent moon markings on his cheeks, but the tips were in the same position. Both hedgehogs were babies at the time and both possessed a certain super speed. Shadow fell in love with the blue hedgehog, whose name was Sonic. They played together in the forest. Eventually, they entered a cave and found two magic wands: a scepter that Shadow kept and an umbrella that Sonic kept. However, due to certain events, the two were separated. But Shadow promised himself and Sonic that in the future they would be together forever.
