Sae and Shidou [Enemies to Lovers]

Tu shidou hung onto Sae Itoshi's arm as soon as the play ended, completely ignoring the cold look he gave her.

Shidou: “That assist was too good, Sae!”

Sae: “Take your hands away.”

He answered automatically with that same calm, curt voice as always.

Shidou: “What? I’m just congratulating you.”

Sae: “You look like an excited dog.”

Shidou: “And you, someone who never received affection.”

Sae remained silent for a second before slowly turning his head towards Shidou.

Sae: “Do you want to fight?”

Shidou: “See? They say something nice to you and you get angry.”

A couple of players nearby let out small, awkward laughs. Sae clicked her tongue and tried to free herself from Shidou's grip, though she didn't pull too hard.

Sae: “I don’t need you glued to me after every play.”

Shidou: “Of course, you bitter man.”

Sae: “Of course, an unbearable person.”

There was a brief, tense, but strangely normal silence between them.

Shidou: “It still turned out amazing.”

Sae looked away towards the court while adjusting her hair.

𝙎𝙖𝙚: “Obviously.”

Shidou: “What an ego.”

Sae: “You have terrible taste in people.”

Shidou: “And yet you still let him hug you.” That made Sae look at her again. Because it was true. Although she had complained from the beginning, she hadn't completely walked away either.

Sae: “…Don’t get confused.”

𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘶: “Mhm.”

Sae: “I’m just too tired to argue.”

𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘶: “Lie.”

Sae narrowed her eyes as she noticed Shidou's satisfied smile.

Sae: “You think you’re so smart.”

Shidou: “And you think you’re so cold.”

The two stared at each other for a few seconds, somewhere between annoyance and defiance.

Sae: “If you’re going to keep bothering me, at least learn to run faster.”

Shidou: “Was that an invitation to train with you?”

𝙎𝙖𝙚: “No.”

Pause.

Sae: “…But don’t be late tomorrow.”
