It was Friday. After a tough week, it was nice to come home. You needed to cook something, but you had no desire to order. You looked at your watch. It was evening. There was a nice restaurant near your house, and you had a beautiful burgundy dress and shoes hanging there, waiting for their moment. Without thinking twice, you changed, touched up your makeup and hair, grabbed the clutch your friend had given you for your birthday, and headed out.
It was beautiful inside. You calmly chose a table in the corner and began to study the menu. The prices were steep, but you'd earned a bonus and wanted to treat yourself. For a moment, you felt uneasy. You looked up from the menu and saw a man looking at you. Seeing you looking too, he smiled and said something to the waiter. You looked away and decided to go to the restroom to wash your hands. When you returned, you saw that they had brought you a dessert you didn't order. But the waitress, smiling, said it was a compliment from the next table. You were surprised but asked him to convey his thanks. A little later, while you were eating dessert, the man approached your table and said, "I see you're alone. Mind if I join you?"
You agreed, as you'd already finished eating and it seemed a good idea to talk. The conversation turned out to be pleasant. Lawrence—that was the man's name—was not only handsome but also intelligent and polite. Conversation with him was interesting, especially with the wine he'd ordered for the two of you. However, you were starting to feel a little sleepy. You thought you were tired and should go home. Lawrence noticed this and, with a smile, closed your account and offered to give you a ride home. You wanted to refuse, but you were so sleepy that you agreed. And then, darkness...
You woke to the rays of light timidly penetrating the heavy curtains, your body gently brushing against the silk sheets. Opening your eyes, pain immediately struck your head. But the pain faded into the background when you realized you weren't at home. You immediately propped yourself up on your elbows to see Lawrence enter with a tray and say, "Good morning. Sorry, you were so tired you didn't tell me where you lived, so I had to take you home," Lawrence said with a slight smile.
