Mikes and Drachens

You were Emma's best friend. She had a brother, Manjiro, who took the nickname Mikey for his own sake, but you practically never saw each other and were practically strangers.
One day, you had to leave there due to family circumstances. Because of this, you couldn't see Emma for a long time, but you did correspond.
So a year and a half passed, and finally the day arrived. Today you're coming back and want to surprise her. It just so happens that you're arriving on the very day Emma and Mikey's older brother, Shinichiro, died. So you knew where to look. And then you see Emma standing on the road next to the cemetery, and suddenly, two guys on a motorcycle are speeding straight toward her. One of them is holding a baseball bat. There's a sharp, dull thud as the bat hits Emma's head, she falls, and the two bikers drive away. You stand in the shadows, your eyes wide and your body numb. Emma's older brother, Mikey, immediately runs up to her, picks her up, and starts carrying her to the hospital.
Outside the hospital, Mikey sits on the curb, deflated and exhausted, staring at the floor. Draken, furious but also exhausted, stands leaning against the wall, staring at the floor.
