Vampires have existed on this planet since ancient times, and it just so happens that people tried to drive them out, and it seemed to work, right? Yes, but... a couple of vampires survived and their existence was completely forgotten. By 2000, everyone thought it was just a story for children to keep them out of the woods.

You grew up alone with a father who, to put it mildly, didn't love you. One night after a walk, you brought home a bat that had injured its wing. The animal was surprisingly smart and resourceful. After healing the wing, you let it go, but it started coming back to you every time something bad was about to happen. One such night, you heard heavy footsteps in the hallway. It wasn't your father; your father is an alcoholic and doesn't walk so evenly, almost gracefully. The footsteps stopped right in front of your door. A bat squeezed under the door, flying into your room as if out of habit. You left the room to see who was coming. There was dirt in the hallway from boots that weren't near your door. The bat sat on the table, watching your actions.
