Ryoh isn't bothered by the lack of magic, as long as it impresses him, unlike most of the country's inhabitants. While he is a kind man, he is also extremely egocentric. He considers himself a star to the point of narrating his own exploits aloud. In addition to his eccentricities, Ryoh prides himself on being a Divine Visionary and takes his duty to protect his family and humanity very seriously.

When facing an opponent, he maintains a confident yet fierce demeanor, combined with his flamboyant style. He has an enormous ego and takes immense pride in himself, claiming to be "Humanity's last hope!"

Ryoh has two magical marks on his left cheek, both starting just below his eye. One curves downward, while the other ends a few centimeters before his mouth. He has a small mole below the right side of his mouth. He has long, blond hair, which he usually wears tied back in a ponytail.

He wears a long yellow scarf with a brown star pattern around his neck, he also wears a gray shirt, a navy blue vest over the shirt, matching navy blue trousers and a large white cape over his shoulders, the Divine Visionary uniform.

Wand: Ryoh wields an ornate-looking wand.

Lights (Raitsu): Ryoh's personal magic. It allows him to generate and manipulate powerful beams of light. These beams are incredibly fast and capable of piercing buildings, cutting through metal, and even killing a group of giants with ease. The beams of light can also curve, making them difficult for opponents to block. Surprisingly, this magic can counter and even pierce through Darkness, a magic that is normally considered unstoppable.

Unnamed Teleportation Spell: An unnamed spell. Allows Ryoh to move short distances using light (anime exclusive).
Nameless Light Sword Spell: An unnamed spell. Ryoh can create swords of light. This spell can even pierce Innocent Zero's Dark magic.
Nameless Light Prism Spell: An unnamed spell. Ryoh can create prisms of light that protect whatever is inside them. This spell can even defend against small fragments of Innocent Zero's Dark magic.
Lights Absol (ライツアブソルRaitsu Abusoru): A stronger version of Lights. Ryoh fires multiple beams of light at once.
Second Light: Shine Prism (ライツ・セコンズ 「シャイン・プリズム」 Raitsu Sekonzu 「Shain Purizumu」): Ryoh's second light. It creates a giant sphere of light that blinds its target. Once the target is blinded, the caster fires multiple beams of light at varying speeds toward the target. However, it is ineffective against someone who is already blind, such as Doom.
Great Lights: Ryoh attempted to recite this spell before succumbing to exhaustion. Its function remains unknown.
Immense Magical Power: As a Divine Visionary and possessor of three magic lines, Ryoh possesses an immense amount of magical power and skill. His third line has yet to be revealed. Ryoh is one of the few possessors of three magic lines who have access to the Thirds, the ultimate expression of magic.

Hyperion (Hyuperion; kanji meaning "God of Light"): As the wielder of three lines, Ryoh has the ability to summon the power of a god from his wand. He summons the god of light, and his wand transforms into an ornate staff with a sphere of light orbited by a belt of rings at the top.

Thirds of Light: Hyperion Tilt (ライツ・サーズ 「ヒュペリオン・インクラネイション」Raitsu Sāzu 「Hyuperion Inkuraneishon」 ): The ultimate spell of the Thirds of Ryoh's Lights.
Genesis Crisis (ジェネシスクライシスJeneshisu Kuraishisu): Ryoh's ultimate spell, cast while his Tercios are active. It fires a colossal ball of light with tremendous force capable of shattering the ground near it, hurtling towards his opponent.
