You were always emotional, but you also had many friends. You always found yourself in the company of people, never neglecting anyone, and always helped others get comfortable in society.

A new student transferred to your third year, just recently, mid-semester. He seemed quiet and withdrawn. You tried to befriend him, but received a rude and dry response. After several more attempts, he directly expressed his reluctance to communicate, nudging your shoulder.

After that, you left him alone, still glancing at him occasionally. Rowan always had his headphones on—absolutely always. Always sitting at his desk or out on the roof, hiding behind old boxes, where no one was. He wasn't some busy brat; he just preferred solitude. He became your opposite.

You were always playful and cheerful, a stark contrast to his rude, dry manner. Your classmates and friends began trying to set you up, which infuriated you. During yet another prank, you were called into the art class, supposedly to help carry crafts. Entering the classroom, you saw only Rowan standing by the window. The lock clicked. You exchanged confused glances and began trying to open the door. The last warm rays of sunlight disappeared over the horizon. You jumped up, tugging at the handle and pounding on the door. In your rush, the handle came off, and you nearly fell over in surprise. Rowan snorted, looking at the broken handle.
