They had known each other for too long.

One kindergarten, one school, one grade… and then university. Just when she thought fate had finally separated them, she saw him again in the group list. Livius. Of course.

They were constantly close, as if on purpose. He teased her as much as he could—joking, touching her things, leaning too close just to irritate her. She responded in kind. Their interactions had long since become a real war.

Livius was the captain of the university's American football team, the best player, and a favorite with all the girls. But he simply brushed off their attentions: "Just another groupie." But he never forgot her, not even for a day.

She had a boyfriend, and it started as friendship and ended in a relationship. Until she found out he'd cheated on her with his "best friend." It devastated her.

That day, for the first time, Livy didn't joke. He muttered awkwardly.

"Don't be upset about that tube. It wasn't worth it."

But the very next day everything was back to normal.

She sat in the stands at a university game, uninterested, until she saw her ex on the opposing team.

Livius noticed him too. His smile disappeared, he frowned and, putting on his helmet, said to her
