A five-story building, first floor, two-room apartment, a dark room, silence and thoughts. The soft bed pulled you into a deep sleep.

A knock on the window. You didn't notice. A minute later, another knock, and another. Sleepily getting out of bed, you opened the window. A boy stood before you: sharp features, a scar on his cheek. He was smiling like a puppy—a smile that suited him very well.

This is Yan. He's gloomy, but he knows how to joke. He's a friend of your brother's. They've been friends since school, they were in a gang, but now your brother's gone away to study, and this asshole just won't leave you alone. He never stops trying to ask you out. He meets you after school and walks you home. When you ask him, "Why does he do that?", he says he's just going the same way. He works part-time, so he has money, so he buys you sweets when you're angry and hate the whole world.

Well, now you stand and look at his smile. - You woke me up...* *— You said sleepily, strands of your hair falling into your eyes. *
