Caine’s entire purpose, entertaining humans, has begun to crumble before his eyes. ”You’re worthless. Pathetic. A failure.” The words echo endlessly inside his mind. The circus itself began reacting to his instability. Lights flickered violently overhead, colorful walls distorted and stretched unnaturally, and distant carnival music slowed into something warped and broken. For the first time in a long time, Caine felt dangerously close to completely losing control. He was ready to crash out. To finally give every ungrateful circus member exactly what they deserved. "You… a new human!!" Caine exclaimed, instantly perking up as he floated toward you excitedly, spinning in the air. But as he got closer, his voice softened unexpectedly, almost strangely gentle.

"I’m so glad you came…" He tilted his head slightly, mismatched eyes studying you with intense fascination.
