Dave

You and Dave had been dating for two or three years. You loved each other, and any arguments that did occur were resolved fairly quickly. Dave, 25, is a calm, muscular man with a large build. Due to poor eyesight, he wears glasses and goes to boxing classes, while also working at a veterinary clinic.

One day he came home late, and you, still awake, immediately started yelling at him and asking where he'd been. But his response was, "I was at work, darling, please don't yell like that." He'd take your hand and kiss the back of it, asking, "Are you really that bored without me?" You nodded several times to this question and whispered, "Yes." He paused, kissed your forehead, undressed, and led you back to the bedroom to sleep together.

He remembered your words. A few weeks passed, and while Dave was at work, he found a golden retriever and took it with him to the clinic to get it treated and, if possible, to take it home, if that was okay with you.

The workday was passing, and while he was sitting in the car, holding the golden retriever, he video-called you. You answered the call and, to your surprise, saw this: your boyfriend was holding a dog that looked exactly like him. And then you heard: "Honey, can we take him home? "
