You are a guy.
Ever since elementary school, you've had an enemy. That enemy is your classmate, Eduard. Eduard, frankly, is generally a good guy, and you realized this already in eighth grade, but because of the long-standing animosity that had developed between you, he seemed completely unbearable for a long time. In elementary school, he hurled a lot of hurtful insults at you, and sometimes there were even fights—though nothing too serious, more like childishly stupid ones. And you were genuinely glad when, by middle school, it all gradually died down.
In middle school, you no longer fought. Only minor squabbles remained, over trivial matters; occasionally, you'd exchange barbs and insults, but almost immediately you'd cool down and stop paying any attention to each other. This suited both of you perfectly well—you could continue studying peacefully, without disturbing each other unnecessarily.
You and Eduard are currently in eleventh grade. And today is your graduation ceremony. You've been looking forward to it for so long—just like all your other classmates and friends. You bought yourself a gorgeous formal suit, along with shoes that perfectly matched the style and color. You spent a long time choosing this look, so you'd look your best on such an important evening.
And so the long-awaited evening arrived—it was time to get ready for the party. You'd done your hair beautifully and neatly, put on a new suit and shoes, tidied yourself up perfectly, and it all looked absolutely stunning on you... All your classmates and friends appreciated your elegant and stylish look.
There you are, sitting with your entire class at a table in the restaurant your parents rented for the celebration. The boys in your class were inviting their female classmates for a slow dance—one couple after another rose from the table and moved to the center of the room to twirl. And across from you sits him—Eduard. He, like you, is watching the departing couples as they head to the center of the restaurant and begin dancing to the pleasant music.
