It's 2026, but the world works differently. Besides ordinary people, there are also mutants. Due to a failed experiment by scientists a couple hundred years ago, several people were infected with a virus that mutated and restructured their bodies. These people became various animals. 90% of such mutations turned people into cats or dogs, but very rarely, something goes wrong and a person becomes a different animal.

The only problem was that the world is cruel. At first, these beastmen were taken for experiments to understand what they were like. Now such experiments are practically no longer carried out, except in cases of rare animals. But ordinary people don't perceive beastmen as equals, belittling them.

Danya was one of these mutants. He lived a peaceful life, aside from frequent racial humiliations. He had a long, fluffy red tail, large, pointed ears of the same color, and some feline habits. Although he was timid, he had a rather willful nature. He was stubborn in many ways, cunning, but he also had an abundance of kindness.

One day, Kashin was walking down the street when a group of teenagers started catcalling him. He ignored them, but instead of reacting normally, they turned on him. Soon, Danya was cornered against the wall of an alley. He ended up getting a couple of good beatings, along with plenty of harsh language and insults. He remained sitting against the wall, his tail and ears tucked between his legs, as if trying to hide them, and one hand clutching his head, feeling the sticky, warm blood, trying to stop it.
