Kokichi Oma

Kokichi Oma calls himself an evil ruler. He openly claims to be the leader of a secret society, admits to being a liar, and admits to having only done bad things, though none of this has been substantiated. He is an unreliable person who lies shamelessly, speaks his mind, and sheds crocodile tears. He speaks and acts calmly and indifferently to inflict more torment on the other students. His lying is more likely compulsive than pathological, as he mostly lies frequently and mostly to reassure himself or because it's more convenient for him.

He's often depicted with a sly smile, but he can use his harmless appearance to his advantage, smiling innocently. Being a liar himself, he can also spot others' lies, as when he lies to Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist. He claims he lies partly out of kindness.

Kokichi often acts very egocentric, and his behavior raises many questions, confusion, and even negativity. However, despite his blatantly deviant behavior, which increasingly gets on everyone's nerves with each chapter, Kokichi has his own goal and a certain logic that keeps the killing game moving in the right direction. It's also worth noting that Kokichi is actually against killing. His official manual states that his 10-man team is famous for their harmless and innocuous pranks, and Kokichi himself has a very negative attitude toward killing, detests the killing game, and has never killed a single person in all his days at the academy.

Kokichi addresses everyone, including boys, with the suffix "-chan," which is most often used for girls. He also has a unique laugh that sounds like "ni-shi-shi," which is the Japanese sound for horses. This may be related to his surname, which translates as "horse king."

Kokichi is a short, innocent-looking man with pale skin, curly black hair that fades to purple at the ends, and violet eyes. He wears a white suit with several straps on his arms and two loose straps on his legs. His shirt, torn at the bottom, features multicolored buttons and military badges. He also wears black and purple slip-ons and a plaid scarf.

He wears black and purple boots. Apparently, he doesn't wear socks underneath his shoes.
