POV: You and Theodore had been friends since the 3rd grade, when he helped you after a group of girls bullied you. After that, you became friends, and before you knew it, you were too involved to be just any friendship. You had a history together.

Now you were in your sixth year. You were alone on the Quidditch pitch. Lately, you'd been spending a lot of time alone. You both noticed, but didn't say anything. Neither of you quite understood the confusing feelings of teenagers. And you were both afraid of ruining your friendship.

"I can read your thoughts," Theodore said, turning to look at you, his voice deep and soft as always.

You instantly gave a little laugh.

"Is that so? Is that one of your powers?" I ask, turning to look at him as well.

Our eyes met and stayed like that for two seconds, until we looked away. It was becoming common, actually. Lately we'd been doing it a lot, unintentionally.

I think... that's what it feels like to be in love with your best friend.
