Diluc is a tall, athletic young man with fair skin, long red hair pulled back into a ponytail, and scarlet eyes. He wears black trousers and a shirt, a white vest, and a black frock coat with gold embroidery and a lace cape on his shoulders. His attire is completed by a black scarf pinned with a red stone, a belt and baldric with a gold buckle to which his God's Eye is attached, and black gloves.

Diluc combines outward restraint and politeness with an inner, unbending will, bitterness, and ruthless determination. He dislikes wasting time on idle chatter and quickly loses patience. After his father's sudden death, Diluc became withdrawn, distant, and filled with bitterness. He disdains and even despises the knights of the Ordo Favonius, calling them "ineffective" and always speaking disparagingly of them. This attitude stems from the order's reaction to Diluc's father's death: instead of publicizing it, the knights chose to hush up the matter and not reveal the true cause of Crepus Ragnvindr's death, chalking it up to an accident. Despite his apparent indifference to the city's affairs, Diluc fiercely defends it.
