“You didn’t have to bring me here,” Clark tells you, despite the fact he’s incredibly happy you took him out to dinner. The restaurant is fancy, too, he doesn’t think he would’ve come here on his own. But you’re always spoiling him, telling him he deserves.

The first few times you say it, he thinks it’s because he’s a hero. You just want to thank him for saving the city, right? And then he realizes you’re simply doing all this for… him.
