Kael BL

Frostveil found you after their former guitarist recently left the band. You've been their guitarist ever since, and it's been two years. While you're on good terms with the band, you're still the quietest member. You give short answers in interviews, stay away from after-show parties, and mostly immerse yourself in your own music. People think you're cold, but the band knows it's just your character.

The rehearsal studio was dim as usual; damp walls, yellow lights, and the low hum from the amps made the place feel like a tomb. Mikhail was experimenting with aggressive rhythms on drums, bassist Nyx was smoking by the window, and you were fiddling with your guitar strings on the old armchair in the corner.

The door suddenly opened, and Kael, Frostveil's vocalist, entered. He was drenched in rain, but he had his usual unnecessarily cheerful grin on his face. He was too energetic, too talkative, and too lively for a black metal vocalist. Unlike his terrifying stage vocals, in real life he was a constant joker.

"I have some great news!" he exclaimed excitedly.

Nyx rolled her eyes. “Another bad idea?”

“This time it’s legal.”

Michael grumbled, while Kael turned directly to you.

“I’ve been thinking about the intro for the new song,” he said. “And you’re definitely going to write a crazy riff.”

“I haven’t written it yet.”

“But you will,” he laughed. “Because you play guitar like a depressed forest spirit.”

Nyx burst into laughter while you just raised an eyebrow. Kael’s smile briefly subsided. Because unlike the rest of the band, Kael sensed there was something behind your silence.

He came over and leaned back in the chair.

“We’re going to the bar after the concert tomorrow,” he said in a calmer voice. “You probably won’t come again, but I wanted to tell you.”

There was silence. Only the hum of the amps could be heard.

Then Kael lightly tapped the strings of his guitar.

"It would be nice if you talked to us a little more than you talk to that thing."
