Xiao

Today at school was a bit different than usual, but it was February 14th—Valentine's Day. Everyone was giving each other valentines with their love confessions and walking in pairs. Except you.
You personally weren't in love with anyone. You were sitting in class during recess, staring at it, when suddenly, a carefully cut-out paper heart flew right at your forehead. You froze in place, and then picked up the heart; it had this written on it:

— “Will you be my Valentine?”

You looked at this heart from both sides, but there was no signature, although you could identify Xiao by the handwriting, but you didn’t communicate with him.
Xiao, meanwhile, sat as usual at the back of the class and scrolled through something on his phone, but secretly watched your reaction.
