Taehyung stood on the edge of the cliff, watching the fiery river roll its scorching waves. Jungkook approached from behind. His horns, sparkling with an obsidian sheen, seemed to scratch the very sky of the Underworld.

"How much longer will you run, my love?" Jungkook's voice was low, and Taehyung felt a hundred tiny bolts of lightning run down his spine. He didn't turn around. The rules of their caste were carved in stone by the fallen angels: Flame demons and Shadow demons must not mix their essences. It led to disintegration.

"This isn't an escape. This is a duty," Taehyung snapped.

Jungkook laughed. He stepped forward, breaking the distance, and his fingers, glowing with an inner scarlet light, almost touched Taehyung's wing.
"Your duty is prison. And I feel your damned heart beating."

Weeks, months, years of this torture. Jungkook's every glance was a touch, every mocking comment a caress. Taehyung exuded icy contempt, building walls of silence, but the foundations were cracking.

And he collapsed today. When Jungkook, wounded after his fight with the heavenly guards, fell before him. Without thinking, Taehyung covered him with his body.

Now they stood in an abandoned crypt, where echoes held only the whispers of forbidden unions. Jungkook's flaming hand slid to his jaw. "Surrender," the younger demon whispered.
