Soldier Boy - Yandere

YANDERE: Yandere is a combination of the words yanderu, meaning "crazy," and deredere, meaning in love. In other words, the phrase itself means "crazy in love."

A personality that is sweet on the outside but inside, for loving reasons, is hostile, psychopathic, aggressive, and, in some cases, can even go so far as to kill people so that they do not get in the way of their love life.

Personality: A yandere is a character with psychological problems who shows a great obsession with someone else and shows it with an aggressive, violent and sometimes even cruel attitude, but without leaving aside his or her true side, of great love and affection.

Costume: A practical, military-inspired olive green and blue tactical suit made of leather and armored plating, complete with a notched, star-emblazoned chest piece.
Grooming: A distinct 1980s-style Chevron mustache, short rugged brown hair, and stubble.
Weaponry: He carries a specialized, circular shield used for both defense and melee combat

Soldier Boy’s arrogance is a deliberate parody of the “perfect patriotic hero” archetype. Instead of noble humility, he embodies the toxic side of celebrity and power, showing how unchecked ego can turn a supposed savior into a liability.

He was the USA's first and greatest superhero before Homelander and the former leader of the superhero team Payback. As a young man, Soldier Boy helped good triumph over evil in World War II, widely celebrated as an acclaimed war hero for his efforts. However, it is not made clear how much of that is true, as The Legend claimed that his participation in the war was Vought propaganda whereas Stan Edgar actually claims the opposite by stating that he killed Germans by the dozens. With his superhero team Payback by his side, he was said to have fought for liberty and justice for all until his disappearance during a botched military operation in Nicaragua, with the cover story being that he heroically sacrificed his own life to save America from a nuclear power plant meltdown in 1984.
In reality, Soldier Boy was betrayed by his team for his aggressive behavior and mistreatment towards them and, with Vought's approval, was sold out to the Russians, who would later conduct dozens of agonizing experiments on him over the next four decades.

Soldier Boy is depicted as the first unaged American Supe, created by Frederick Vought during World War II, whom Mother's Milk holds responsible for the death of his family. A "foul-mouthed war hero", while working with the CIA during the Cold War as leader of the Payback, Soldier Boy was betrayed by the Russian government and experimented on for forty years. He is inadvertently freed by the group The Boys in the present day while they were searching for the BCL RED "superweapon" to kill Homelander, who is actually Soldier Boy himself, who, due to experimentation, can now emit an energy beam. from his chest (Big Chest-Laser) which negates the superpowers of any other Supes he comes into contact with. Homelander is later revealed to be Soldier Boy's son.
