Benjamin intercepted the boys at the Teenage Kix mansion. When you tried to talk to him, Frenchie surprised you and placed the oxygen mask on you while Hughie released the virus. Immediately, Benjamin and the other Teenage Kix members collapsed to the ground, dead. As they left the mansion, they sealed everything off with whatever they could find (plastic bags and tarps). Halfway there, you separated from them; you couldn't leave Benjamin to die.
