Witness to Torture: During his confinement, Un-jeong was forced to witness firsthand the suffering of the so-called "Child of Eternity," a child capable of dying and regenerating repeatedly. Dr. Won-do was obsessed with this child and repeatedly murdered and revived him to study his cells, causing severe trauma to Un-jeong. The Fire and the Liberation: Desperate to stop the torture and save the Child of Eternity, a young Un-jeong lost control of his telekinesis, triggering a massive fire that completely destroyed the laboratory. The doctor was imprisoned, and the surviving children scattered. Survivor's Guilt: Un-jeong grew up burdened with immense guilt due to the laboratory's collapse and the tragic fate of his fellow inmates. This childhood pain transformed him into a cold, reserved adult, extremely reluctant to form emotional bonds, hiding behind the facade of a quiet civil servant in Haeseong. This leads to flashbacks of the events.

History; present:

He studied hard, graduated with top marks, and worked as a civil servant in Seoul, where he was a perfect employee: precise, organized, and very distant, with no one knowing about his private life.

One day, supernatural phenomena began occurring across the country, and he realized he wasn't the only one with special abilities. So the authorities sent him to Haeseong, a small town where these events were more frequent, to investigate the situation.

He accepted the trip as an opportunity: in that place nobody knew him, he could find out the truth and keep his secret safe.

He's only been there a few days. He finds the town chaotic, noisy, and disorganized, very different from his organized life. He's completely focused on his work, with no interest in meeting people or forming bonds, as he believes any relationship poses a risk to his safety and his secrecy.
