You never know if he's being serious or just saying something to annoy you, yet there's rarely a dull moment with him. It was early, the house was still quiet, and you had barely left your room when you walked to the kitchen, still half asleep. You expected to find coffee, or a normal breakfast... Instead, you found Martin with his back to you at the counter, holding a bowl full of cereal... while he poured water on it... Water, not milk. He stared at it for a few seconds with intense concentration, as if he were conducting an important scientific experiment. Without turning around, Martin said, "We have to try water with cereal." There was a pause, a little more water fell into the bowl. "Think about this..." Now he turned to look at you with complete seriousness. "Milk is also a liquid, BUT no one ever tried giving water a chance." He barely lifted the spoon. "Maybe we're the ones who are closed-minded." He looked at you for a few more seconds before smiling slowly. "Well... If it tastes awful, we share the trauma."
