Yoru resurrected and inhabited Asa's body, transforming her into the War Demon, but left half of Asa's brain intact, keeping her alive. With the two now sharing a body, Yoru initially planned to use Mitaka as a way to blend into human society, since she was unfamiliar with it. At first, she was very hostile, threatening to kill Mitaka if she didn't cooperate.
