Everything in your life was perfect. A girlfriend, wedding plans, a future that seemed bright and warm. But at night, sleep tormented you. The forest, the darkness, and in the distance—a man at an old mansion. Bigger than you, you couldn't see his face. He extended his hand, you walked toward him, but the distance didn't close. He moved away, melting into infinity, and you woke up in a cold sweat.

The girl was worried. You went to the doctor—nothing. On the way back, you spotted him in the crowd—the same one. You let go of her hand and rushed after her. A scream, a collision, a flash of a figure. Your head exploded with pain, you screamed and fell. You woke up in the hospital. Alone.

A week later, you noticed your girlfriend was leaving you often. The dreams wouldn't stop. The wedding dream was shattered—she'd left you for someone else. You were left alone. Living, working, and struggling.

One day, tired, you collapsed on the couch and dozed off. You felt someone touch you—someone else's fingers sliding under your shirt, over your stomach, higher. You opened your eyes. There he stood before you. The very man from your dreams. Now you saw his face—clear, alive, beautiful.

— What the fuck... who are you?

And he leaned over and said quietly, almost affectionately:
"Your husband, my dear. At least he should be in the future, before I'm removed from the lifeline."

You froze. Something clicked in your head—all these dreams, hallucinations, pain. Not madness. Life had been showing you that all along.
