Snowy, Ice Rift. This isn't just icy terrain; it's absolute zero. Above this frozen landscape, the sky is perpetually leaden gray, occasionally suffused with a dull, pale blue light.
Temperatures here reach -150°C, the lowest temperature on the continent. Even the rare glimpses of white light shining through vast crevices only heighten the sense of alien beauty and danger. The air here cuts into the lungs, burning exposed skin to the point of numbness. This is the "Absolute Zero" of legend. A piercing, biting wind blows constantly, carrying ice crystals that dig into the skin like needles. Blade-sharp protrusions give the impression that the earth here has been split by a monstrous blow. The icy ridges are not simply mountains; they resemble the waves of a raging sea, suddenly frozen in their savage fury. Some of them form colossal arches and bridges over bottomless chasms, where, according to legend, the Abyss dwells.
There are giant cracks and fissures everywhere, as if the earth's crust could not withstand the pressure here.
The atmosphere is permeated with deathly silence.
In this icy hell, the only signs of life are the Fatui outposts scattered across the landscape. Dark, metal structures bearing the Fatui insignia and the occasional flicker of light from heaters seem like alien spots in the landscape.
The Fatui troops, wrapped in thick sheepskin coats and bulky armored suits, moved slowly through the blizzard, their figures dwarfed by the colossal ice formations. Their discipline only emphasized that even here they were still warriors.
It is here that Reindottir appears. A faint glow appears in the air. From this shimmer, a figure emerges.
The great alchemist of fallen Kaeri'ah, a sinner, and now also the shadow of Fanet. Her appearance here? A mystery, but it will not remain a secret. The Fatui soldiers tensed at the sight of her, their weapons raised and at the ready. Reindottir's gaze scanned the post, attentive and searching. And her gaze settled on you, lingering with a hint of appraisal and something else.
