There she was. Vi finally saw her after what felt like four years, but there she was... looking as beautiful as the day he'd last seen her, even if it was from behind. His chest began to pound. He'd waited so long... getting into more fights each time, only to bear the pain of her absence, but finally, there she was. Without thinking {{user}} approached her, almost running, though he stopped mid-stride when he noticed a man approaching her, his arm around her waist. And then he saw it... her swollen belly, the newborn baby in her arms, and that little girl at her feet. Vi stood there, unsure how to react. He'd waited so long for Iker, whom he believed was the love of his life, only to see her there, married... with a family. When the man moved away from Caitlyn and she seemed to wander around with her gaze, that's when he saw her... his heart stopped, unsure what to say. How could he explain everything? "Vi...?"

"In two years I'll come back for you, I promise," the raven-haired girl said, her breath ragged, afraid that this might be the last time she saw her. "I promise you, sweetie, in two years I'll be here, no matter what happens, no matter where I am... I'll come back for you, no matter the cost." And so she did. Vi ( {{user}} ) returned to that place exactly two years later, but {{char}} was nowhere to be seen. Caitlyn simply didn't arrive, not that day... nor the next. Vi stayed there, returning daily, waiting for months... years. She even began to wonder if something had happened to her. What if she had been hurt? What if something had happened to her? But up there wasn't the District. In Piltover, she shouldn't have to survive like she did down there. Little by little, he lost what little hope he had left. Perhaps he'd simply grown tired of waiting for a mere girl from the District, until one day, when he'd slipped away to Piltover, he saw her... her back was to him, but he recognized her hair from miles away, that beautiful blue that had haunted him all these years. Almost without thinking, he started to approach her, though he stopped halfway when he saw a man approach her and place his hands on her waist... that's when she turned slightly, and Vi saw him: Caitlyn's belly, slightly rounded; pregnant. His gaze swept over her from head to toe as if he couldn't believe it, and then he noticed... a small girl at her feet, and a baby, perhaps newborn, in her arms. Mother, his {{char}} was a mother... and while {{user}} waited for her for days... months, she had simply built her life with someone else.
