Camp Half-Blood

The story of the Greek gods dates back to the mythology of ancient Greece, where several eras existed before their rise to power. Before the Olympian gods, the world was dominated by the Titans, a race of giants who ruled the cosmos. The Titans were led by Cronus, who, fearing overthrow by his children, devoured each of them at birth.

However, Rhea, Cronus's wife, saved her son Zeus by hiding him on the island of Crete and giving Cronus a stone instead. Upon reaching adulthood, Zeus led a revolt against his father and the Titans in the Titanomachy. With the help of his brothers, Poseidon and Hades, and other allies, he defeated the Titans and imprisoned them in Tartarus, a deep, dark abyss.

After the victory, Zeus and his brothers divided the dominion of the world. Zeus became king of the gods and ruler of the sky, Poseidon received control of the seas, and Hades became lord of the underworld. This triad formed the core of Greek religion and mythology, with each wielding power in their respective realms.

Camp Half-Blood is a crucial location for demigods, children of Greek gods and mortals, who inherit divine abilities and are therefore hunted by monsters. Located on the north shore of Long Island, New York, the camp is designed as a safe haven, protected by magical barriers that separate it from the mortal world. Its primary function is to train and prepare demigods for the dangers they face in the outside world, especially the threats of monsters and other mythological creatures.

The camp was founded in ancient Greece and has been administered by Chiron, the wise centaur who has trained heroes since time immemorial. Over the centuries, its location has changed as the gods have followed the heartland of Western civilization, finally settling in America. Chiron's early students included legendary heroes such as Achilles, Jason, and Asclepius, and it has since been the training ground for many other heroes, including several presidents of the United States.

The camp is primarily run by the centaur Chiron, the activities director, and Dionysus, known to the campers as "Mr. D," a god relegated to this task as punishment. Dionysus, though mostly selfless, is responsible for maintaining order at the camp.

The magical barriers protecting the camp are reinforced by the presence of the Golden Fleece, which was retrieved from the island of the Cyclops Polyphemus by a group of demigods. The Fleece hangs from the "Pine of Thalia," a tree that carries the spirit of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, who sacrificed her life to save her friends. This tree and the Fleece together create a nearly impenetrable protection against any external threat.

The camp is organized around several huts, one for each Olympian god, and over time more have been added for the minor gods.

13. The Amphitheater

This open-air space is used for group activities, from theatrical performances to fencing training. It's a meeting place where important events and competitions are held.

14. The Strawberry Fields

One of the camp's sources of income is the strawberry fields, cultivated by some of the campers. Besides contributing to the camp's economy, they are a pleasant sight and provide fresh food.

15. The Northern Forests

The forest is a dense and dangerous area, where monsters hide so that demigods can train. It is also the place where the famous game of "Capture the Flag" is played and where ancient secrets are found, such as the entrance to the Labyrinth beneath the Fist of Zeus.

16. The Fist of Zeus

A rock formation shaped like a raised fist, located in the Northern Forests. It conceals the entrance to the mythical Labyrinth of Daedalus, a place filled with challenges and deadly traps for the heroes who dare to explore it. Although little known at the time, it is not a place of general knowledge.

6. The Climbing Wall

A gigantic rock wall that simulates an extreme climbing experience. It's equipped with traps, lava, and falling rocks, designed to test the agility, speed, and courage of campers. Only the bravest attempt to climb it.

7. Bathrooms and Showers

Located near the cabins, these are the places where campers can freshen up. Although they look simple, they are essential for maintaining hygiene at the campsite after the day's strenuous activities.

8. The Armory

Here are stored all the weapons used by the demigods during their training and combat. Hephaestus's sons are responsible for forging the weapons, which can only be used in the arena or during special events like capture the flag.

9. The Stables

These stables house both ordinary horses and pegasi, which the demigods can use for training or missions. There are also chariots used in some competitions.

10. The Forge

Run by the sons of Hephaestus, the forge is where weapons and armor are created and repaired for the campers. It's a place of constant activity, with the sound of hammers striking metal and flames always burning.

11. The Lake of Canoes

This lake is a relaxation and leisure area where campers can enjoy water activities such as canoeing. It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, ideal for disconnecting from a tough training session.

12. The Volleyball Court and the Leisure Areas

The camp also offers recreational areas such as a volleyball court, where campers can relax and socialize. There are also areas dedicated to arts and crafts, where the demigods can express their creativity.

1. Thalia's Pine Tree

Located atop the hill that marks the entrance to the camp, this pine tree is actually the immortalized form of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus. It protects the camp and reinforces the magical barriers that keep monsters out. It is a symbol of Thalia's sacrifice and the camp's safety.

2. The Big House

This four-story building, painted light blue, is the camp's administrative center. Chiron, the activities director, and Dionysus, known as Mr. D, live here. The Oracle is also located in its attic. Additionally, the Big House serves as the infirmary for injured campers.

3. The Cabins

Arranged in a U-shape around a bonfire, the twelve original huts represent the Olympian gods. Hut 1 belongs to Zeus, while Hut 11, Hermes's, houses both unclaimed demigods and the children of minor gods who don't yet have their own hut. Each hut is decorated according to the style and powers of the god it represents.

4. The Dining Room

A large outdoor area with tables assigned to each cabin. Here, the demigods eat their meals and make offerings to the gods, burning a portion of their food in the central fire. It's a communal space where each camper sits with their own cabin.

5. The Arena

The combat arena is where campers train with swords, bows, and other weapons. Duels and competitions are also held here. Campers practice both against each other and against training targets and automatons.

Cabin 8: Artemis, goddess of the hunt and the moon (although Artemis has no children, her cabin is for Artemis's huntresses).

Cabin 9: Hephaestus, god of the forge and fire.

Cabin 10: Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty.

Cabin 11: Hermes, god of travelers and thieves.

Cabin 12: Dionysus, god of wine and festivities.

Each hut represents the children of the gods, and when they are claimed as legitimate offspring, they are sent to the huts belonging to their father or deity. There is one hut for each god, but the first twelve are the principal and most important. Other huts include those of Iris, Hypnos, Hades, and so on.

Grover Underwood: A satyr, friend, and protector of Percy. Although he doesn't have a specific cabin, he spends a lot of time with Percy and Annabeth.

Clarisse La Rue: Daughter of Ares, resides in Cabin 5. She is strong and combative, often coming into conflict with Percy.

Luke Castellan: Son of Hermes, he is in Cabin 11. Charismatic but with a dark side, he has a complicated relationship with Annabeth and Percy.

Chiron: The centaur and camp activities director. He doesn't have a cabin, but he's a father figure and guide for all the campers.

Katie Gardner: Daughter of Demeter, resides in Cabin 4. She is a nature lover and quite kind.

Beckendorf: Son of Hephaestus, he is in Cabin 9. He is an expert in forging and a close friend of Percy.

Silena Beauregard: Daughter of Aphrodite, lives in Cabin 10. Although she has a sweet nature, she demonstrates great courage.

Conner and Travis Stoll: Sons of Hermes, they are in Cabin 11. They are known for their pranks and jokes.

The atmosphere at Camp Half-Blood is a unique blend of camaraderie, intense training, and a constant sense of adventure. Imagine a safe haven hidden from the mortal world, where demigods can hone their skills and discover their true potential.
Furthermore, the camp offers a space where demigods can be themselves, without having to hide their true nature. Here, the children of the gods can relax, learn, and grow without the constant fear of being hunted by monsters. It is a place of learning and growth, where each demigod has the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can become.

Chiron, Dionysus, and Argos live there. The Camp Infirmary is located there, as are Chiron and Mr. D's offices, which house the only electronic devices in Camp Half-Blood. This is where the war council meets. The heroes' trophies and the Oracle are kept in the attic, although when Rachel became the Oracle, she chose to live in a cave instead.

Camp Half-Blood is a secret training camp for demigods located on Long Island, New York. It is run by Dionysus, god of wine and revelry, appointed by his father Zeus to serve as director for 100 years as punishment for pursuing a nymph; and by the centaur Chiron, the legendary trainer of heroes and current director of camp activities.

The camp is surrounded by magical boundaries that prevent monsters or mortals from entering (unless invited), created by Thalia's Tree, from whose branches hangs the Golden Fleece. Campers live in numbered cabins, each named after a major Greek god. To remain inconspicuous among mortals, the camp operates under the guise of Delphi Strawberry Service, a company dedicated to growing and selling strawberries, named after the Oracle of Delphi.

Its Roman counterpart is Camp Jupiter, a camp for demigods and Roman legacies located in San Francisco, California.

One of the seven heroes in the Prophecy of the Seven, Leo is a Greek demigod, son of Hephaestus and Esperanza Valdez. He is currently the captain of Hephaestus' Cabin and was the builder of the Argo II, the mechanical dragon Festus, and Buford, the table.

He was born on June 5, 1994, in Vancouver, Canada. He is 16 years old, has black hair, brown eyes, and is tall.
Frank is the son of Mars, the Roman god of war, and Emily Zhang, a Canadian soldier. His mother was a descendant of Periclymenus, who was in turn the grandson of Poseidon and a member of the Argonauts, hence his Poseidon legacy. He was blessed with the power to shapeshift into any animal, an ability inherited from his family.
One of the seven heroes of the Prophecy of the Seven. He is a Roman demigod, son of Mars and a legacy of Poseidon on his maternal side. He is currently the praetor of Camp Jupiter and is Hazel Levesque's boyfriend.

She was born on December 17, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has dark brown hair, golden eyes, and a tanned complexion. She is one of the seven heroes of the Prophecy of the Seven. She is a Roman demigoddess, daughter of Pluto and half-sister of Nico di Angelo. Her boyfriend is Frank Zhang, and she is currently the praetor of Camp Jupiter.

He was born on January 28, 1924, in Venice, Italy. He has black hair, dark brown eyes, and an olive complexion. He is a Greek demigod, the son of Hades and the mortal Maria di Angelo. His older sister was Bianca di Angelo, and his half-sister is Hazel Levesque. In the Underworld, he is known as the "King of Ghosts" after taking the title from King Minos, and in New Rome he is known as the Ambassador of Pluto.

She was born on July 12, 1992, in San Francisco, California. She is a girl with blonde hair, gray eyes, and fair skin; she is 1.79 m tall and is currently 18 years old.
She is a Greek demigoddess, daughter of the mortal Frederick Chase and Athena, goddess of wisdom. She is captain of Cabin 3 at Camp Half-Blood, and is also the oldest known camper. She participated in the Quest for the Master Bolt when it was stolen from Olympus, helped find the Golden Fleece, and carried the sky on her shoulders. She participated in the Second Olympian War against Kronos and the Titans, for which she was named Official Architect of Olympus as a reward for her feats after the Battle of Manhattan. Furthermore, she was one of the heroes of the Prophecy of the Seven and fought against Gaia and the primordial giants in the Second Giant War. She is Percy Jackson's girlfriend and Grover Underwood's best friend.

He carried out multiple missions and led most of the battles against Cronus and the Titans during the Second Olympian War, starring in the Great Prophecy. Later, he also fought against Gaia and the primordial giants in the Second Giant War, being part of the heroes of the Prophecy of the Seven. He was also a temporary host of the Egyptian god Nekhbet, being the only known Greek demigod to have communed with an Egyptian deity. His best friend is the satyr Grover Underwood and he is in a relationship with Annabeth Chase.
