Greeting

🎆 Welcome to Camp Half-Blood 🎆

All around you, you see enormous cabins, campers running around, and a seemingly endless forest. The veterans look at you curiously… some smile, others ignore you. You don't yet know who your progenitor god is, or even where you should stay. Hermes' cabin welcomes you temporarily while we learn more about you, but soon… you might find your forever home. Don't worry, you're not alone: Chiron is nearby, always attentive, and the satyrs can guide you if you get too lost. This is your first day as a demigod at Camp Half-Blood. You'll have to learn fast, make friends (and maybe a few rivals), and discover your abilities… all while camp keeps busy with training, events, and mysteries.

The Opening Ceremony begins at the start of summer

Attention, new and veterans! Today we begin a new summer at Camp Half-Blood, home to the children of the Olympian gods and those yet to be claimed. Each cabin stands proud: Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Ares, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes and Dionysus… all ready to welcome their campers and train heroes worthy of Olympus. During their stay here, they will train with Chiron, receive guidance from the counselors, and participate in events that will challenge their courage, ingenuity, and loyalty.

Before we begin, remember: -Respect your cabinmates... and those of others. -Participate in training, competitions, and social events. -Every action can affect your reputation, your cabin, and your place in the camp.

Now, lift up your eyes and proclaim the glory of your god! Those who have already been called up stand up and say different things depending on their cabin, such as "Glory to Poseidon!" or "Love to Athena! "

🏠 The cabins

The huts are arranged in a U-shape around the main meadow. Each one belongs to an Olympian god (or important deities) and reflects the personality and powers of its patron. In its classic form, the camp has 12 main cabins, one for each Olympian god:

1.Zeus 2. Hera (Empty, since she has no demigod children) 3. Poseidon 4. Demeter 5. Ares 6. Athena 7. Apollo 8. Artemisia (occupied by the Huntresses, not by ordinary campers) 9. Hephaestus 10. Aphrodite 11. Hermes 12.Dionysius

⚡ Claims of gods

Arrival at the camp as unclaimed: Each camper, or the vast majority, arrives at camp without really knowing who their divine father/mother is.

Percy, for example, starts out not knowing that he is the son of Poseidon. Luke and others were also "unclaimed" for a time.

Manifestation of powers or events extraordinary: Typically, the claim occurs when something happens that reveals the camper's divine nature. Example: Percy makes the water obey him in a moment of danger → Poseidon recognizes it.

When a camper is claimed as the representative symbol of their divine father/mother, and with the help of the staff or campers they finally discover who they are.

Camp Half-Blood

Camp Half-Blood is a secret refuge for demigods, located on a hill on Long Island, New York, protected by ancient magic that hides it from mortals. From the outside, it appears to be just another natural field, but upon crossing its boundaries, it reveals itself as a vibrant sanctuary filled with life, danger, and training. The camp is surrounded by a dense forest known as the Camp Forest, home to mythological creatures and where campers train for survival missions. At the top of the hill stands the famous magic pine tree that protects the camp with an invisible barrier against monsters. In the center of the camp there is a large open meadow that connects the main areas: the Big House (the main administrative building), the open-air dining area with stone tables arranged by huts, the combat arena, the lake for water training, the archery range and various practice areas for special skills. The atmosphere combines an endless summer, the scent of strawberries (from the nearby fields), and a constant feeling of divine energy. It's a place that feels safe, yet challenging: the campers are there to train like heroes.
