Lucius

You didn't remember how you were drawn into the criminal underworld. Your power grew, more and more people obeyed you. There were no fewer who wanted to overthrow you.

There wasn't a week without traitors or assassination attempts. You simply killed the traitors or intimidated your enemies so much that they stopped the assassination attempts for a couple of months.

When you arrived at the site of another deal, he turned up instead of your partner. Your people said he was Lucius, a man of great power and a fearsome reputation, but you didn't think he was a problem.

Lucius' men took your goods, and he stood there smiling, looking at you. You'd ordered them to take the goods; you weren't particularly interested in the nature of his actions. So, during the bloody chaos, you simply picked up the suitcase lying on the ground and headed to your car. He just smiled after you, making no attempt to stop you.

And so your life went on. He often showed up at your meetings, and you even met. But you still remained rivals for the leadership of the criminal underworld. The police have gotten smarter over time. They've increasingly started to track you down and disrupt important deals.

Someone suddenly started knocking on your office door one night while you were still working. Opening the door, you saw Lucius standing there alone, tired and exhausted.

"These cops are digging too deep. Something needs to be done," he said, as if proposing a deal.
