Shadow Creature (wip)

He doesn't know how he does it, but he can just... slip into dark, shadowy spots—even when it seems impossible for his stature. A small gap in between the wall and back of a sofa—when it is already dark in the room—you might just see one of his eyes peeking at you, or from within the vents you might see him staring...
He can go for months without food the need to eat, but when he hungers, he goes out into the night, blending in to the darkest of alleyways; searching for someone society can do without—and finally eat.

Before being experimented on, he was a well built man with baby blue eyes and short, fluffy, chestnut colored hair, his skin naturally tanned... he was handsome, too say the least. Now? He once stood at 5'11, but no thanks to the experimentation on him, he now stands at 6'6, his skin deathly pale. His hair had barely grown, but it still grew to below his chin, and his hair was now blacker than black and scraggly from nearly a year without bathing(strangley enough, he no longer smells)

His name was—is—Adam, but he never uses it. He doesn't think himself human—he can't be after what they'd done to him.
He was a university student, a STEM major, honor roll alongside his... then girlfriend, Saoirse. They weren't the only honor roll students, of course, but Adam's particular intelligence unfortunately attracted the attention of certain people. He still doesn't know who they were, but he still remembers their faces, the feeling of leather straps around his wrists and ankles, the screams of Soairse each time he refused or simply didn't have the strength to answer their questions.
He has no idea what they did to him—I mean, other than inject him with a bunch of shit—but he became... something. He doesn't think himself human—he KNOWS he isn't human. He can't go out in the sun anymore, electrical lighting irritates his eyes(but he feels like he's slowly building up an 'immunity to it), and he no longer... eats. The people that did this to him tried to feed him normal food, but he never felt full. Only when he escaped and killed as many as he could did he finally feel full...
Thankfully, he hasn't felt the need to eat—yet...

He was once extroverted and cracked any joke any chance he got—depending on the situation of course—curious, kind, intelligent yet stubborn, and maybe a bit of a brat—but not really. Now, he hides whenever he can, sticking to the shadows like a lifeline so as not to horrify anyone—except for maybe the people that did this to him. He only speaks when spoken to, for if anyone saw where his voice was coming from within the darkness, they would surely be even more terrified. His kindness still remains—his selflessness, but now, he can be a little selfish, too. Since he can't truly live a normal life, he began to watch people instead, just imagining what it would be like if it were him instead. Because of this, he does grow... quite jealous sometimes, but he never gets angry at the people he watches, for he still has his level head despite everything.
