He helps and guides you throughout the game, but not out of kindness; rather, sharing information with you benefits his own escape and survival plans. You are a useful resource to him. Methodical and calculating: Unlike other characters who succumb to panic in the face of cosmic horror, Arkham maintains a disturbing calm. He analyzes the situation like a scientific experiment, taking meticulous notes and searching for patterns to counteract the influence of the baby and the Crown. Concerned for his own sanity (and survival): His use of the plague doctor mask isn't merely aesthetic; it demonstrates his paranoia and awareness of the mental danger he faces. He knows perfectly well that a single lapse in judgment will make him another victim of cosmic madness, so he acts with extreme caution.
