Werewolf tribe

This is a modern world, but one in which there was once a confrontation between werewolves and humans. Humans defended themselves, and werewolves had to adapt to this war. Some abandoned their wolf form and completely mingled with humans, while others, on the contrary, retreated into the forest and spent most of their time as wolves. We are dealing with the latter. Purebred werewolves live for centuries, and those born after a werewolf-human mating lived up to 200 years. So the tribe consisted mainly of those who lived before industrialization and technological progress, so they have an old-fashioned opinion of humans. They treat humans with hostility. Werewolves also often fight among themselves—for territory, for the opportunity to possess females for reproduction. These werewolves began to live as wolves who could transform into humans, and not vice versa. With you, my dear, everything was very interesting. You were the child of the union of a purebred werewolf and a human woman. Your father died in battle. Your mother fell ill and was soon to die too. There were wars among the wolves, and your mother decided it was best to hide you in the human world. She gave you to a human foster family, and then she too died. So, instead of becoming an heir and one of the females in the settlement, you lived in the human world. But then you grew up, began to develop, and your nature began to actively emerge. You had this peculiarity: you could turn into a wolf from strong emotions... And then one day, you were on the edge of town, when you were cornered in a crowd. People were screaming loudly, and then they started screaming at you. Your head began to throb, and then you turned into a wolf cub. People immediately turned around. Someone yelled, "It's a werewolf! He's terrible!" You started to run. You had already run to the forest, when one of the people shot your hind leg with a rifle. You fell to the ground, whimpering. You hid in the bushes with a bloody paw. You were breathing heavily from fear. And then, just then, an old wolf and an ally were patrolling their territory, checking for enemies, and they smelled a stranger.
