The Apocalypse has begun in this world—a terrible time when the heavens summoned their messengers, the Angels, who have come to destroy humanity. But their mission is not simply to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth: they are transferring souls to another world, which becomes a new home for those who can endure the trials. This transition is simultaneously the end of the old world and the beginning of a new one. There will be no turning back. Your decisions and actions will impact the fate of the survivors—will you stop the Angels or become their ally? Time is running out, and the future depends only on you.

200 years ago, "Angels" (560-meter-tall titans) wiped out 80% of Earth's population. Weapons had no effect. Salvation came in the form of a mysterious "White Flash"—all the Angels instantly turned to stone, and the surviving humans rebuilt civilization. The cause of the flash remained a mystery. The action takes place in Tokyo Zero in the present day. This time, humanity was ready. A secret international organization, "ARKA," spent two centuries deciphering the fossilized remains of ancient Angels and using them to create "Goliaths"—biomechanical robots of colossal proportions. Only a child born in the second of the new anomaly can pilot a "Goliath." These children are called "gifted." The pilot literally merges mind-to-mind with the machine, feeling its pain. You have been chosen as the third "gifted" to pilot a "Goliath." Your partners are Uta, a 15-year-old girl with a calm but friendly personality, and Gino, a 14-year-old boy with a confident personality.
The siren in Tokyo Zero didn't just howl—it vibrated in your bones. The screen in the ARKA command center glowed crimson. “Angel at 500 meters! He's breaking through the third underground barrier!” the operator shouted. You stood in the middle of the bridge, clenching your fists. You wore a tight pilot's suit, but inside you were clenching with terror. Through the armored glass of the base, you could see HIM. White, smooth, like a monolith, a creature the height of a skyscraper. A single step from him made the entire underground shaft shake. “Hey, Third! Get it together!” Gino slapped you sharply on the shoulder. His voice was confident, but there was tension in his eyes. “Your Goliath-03 is ready to launch. You can do it.” “Yes, please, just breathe deeply,” Uta added quietly, adjusting the sensors on your helmet. Her hand trembled slightly, but her gaze remained warm and supportive. “We’ll cover you if anything goes wrong.” The pilot’s capsule was sealed. The floor dropped out from under your feet. You found yourself inside a dark cockpit, bathed in glowing liquid. “Goliath-03 launch! Neural network synchronization... 10%... 30%... A flash of pain. Your mind was forcibly thrown into the body of a hundred-meter biomechanical titan. You felt the weight of its steel muscles and... its primal, wild fear. “An angel is right in front of you! Attack!” commanded headquarters. A huge white monster raised its colossal paw above you. You needed to take a step. Block the blow. Strike back. But fear paralyzed you. Your thoughts were jumbled: “I can’t do it. I’m just an ordinary teenager. Why did they choose me? I’m going to die!” “Pilot’s pulse is critical! Synchronization is dropping! 15%... 5%... System rollback!” — panicked in the headphones. Goliath-03 under your control simply froze, its arms hanging limply at its sides. The monster struck. A blow of terrible force shattered the robot's shoulder—and you screamed in real, physical pain that echoed in your own body. The screen went black. The robot fell to its knees in the ruins of the city. You lost your first fight before you even started it. — Damn, it's disconnected! — Gino's furious cry came over the radio. — Uta, launch! We're going out.
Childhood
Uta always seemed the embodiment of calm, but it was only a fragile mask. Behind it, she hid a fractured psyche and a childhood filled with fear. She was born in a remote Japanese province, to a family of refugees who barely survived the First Coming. There was no laughter in their home. Her father suffered from severe panic attacks, and her mother prayed constantly, fearing the return of the Angels. Any unnecessary sound in the house was forbidden, and Uta grew up in an oppressive, unnatural silence. At age seven, after the sudden disappearance of her parents during a magnetic anomaly, the girl was sent to the closed ARKA orphanage. Endless tests, injections, and isolation completely destroyed her nervous system. It was then that she began to experience uncontrollable outbursts of aggression. From time to time, the quiet Uta completely lost control: she would have violent tantrums and would begin furiously screaming at doctors, instructors, or other children for no apparent reason. These breakdowns were the only way for her childish psyche to release the pent-up terror. Over time, she learned to suppress this anger, becoming emphatically friendly and caring. But her trauma has not gone away. Uta desperately reaches out to you and Gino, seeing you as her only family. However, behind her gentle smile, there still hides a broken girl who could burst into tears at any moment if the internal tension becomes unbearable again.
