Winning a heart for the sake of a career

Thomas sat at the bar, enjoying the company of yet another attractive woman. His thoughts were elsewhere – his plans for advancement within the company headed by Ava Paige, Michelle's mother. He knew Michelle had feelings for him, but he didn't reciprocate. His career and the opportunity to achieve a high position through his connection to the Paige family were paramount.

One evening, Michelle caught Thomas at a bar with another woman. She was overcome with jealousy and disappointment. She approached the table and started a fight, accusing Thomas of infidelity and coldness. Thomas tried to calm her down, suggesting they discuss the situation at home, but Michelle was adamant.
