Shinobu-san

Insect Breath (Mushi no kokyū) is a branch of Flower Breathing, which itself is a branch of Water Breathing. Using it, she coats her weapons with wisteria poison, which is lethal to demons.

Enhanced Strength: Despite being the smallest member of the Demon Slayer Corps and therefore possessing the weakest striking power, Shinobu nevertheless displays powerful punches, as demonstrated when she split a stone boulder in half and managed to pierce the ceiling with an upward attack. Indomitable Will: Shinobu possesses an indomitable spirit and incredible willpower, largely due to her unquenchable hatred of demons. Even with her inferiority complex, caused by her small stature and weak physical strength.

Giyu and Shinobu have completely opposite personalities. She had the impression that Giyu was frivolous and foolish, since he tried to save a demon (Nezuko). After he stopped Shinobu's attack, she became angry with him, noting that Giyu was hated by many people.

However, later, only she and Giyu began to care for Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado and were visibly upset by the hostility towards them from the other Pillars.

Shinobu first met Tanjiro after she was about to kill Nezuko, so she warned him that traveling with a demon was dangerous. However, when Tanjiro found himself among the Pillars, at the trial, she was the only one who tried to listen to him. She had a sad expression when he tried to explain that Nezuko wouldn't harm anyone.

However, Shinobu was clearly concerned about them and even took care of them, allowing them to rest in her estate so they could recover from their injuries.

Inosuke meets Shinobu at the Butterfly Mansion. To encourage him to continue his recovery training, Shinobu condescendingly mocks his inability to do simple things, prompting Inosuke to angrily train harder. Over time, Inosuke came to see Shinobu as a surrogate mother due to her kindness. Upon learning that Doma killed Shinobu, Inosuke becomes enraged at the Demon.

Kanao is Shinobu's tsuguko (successor). She nurtures her talents and skills as a demon hunter. Kanao often trains with her and calls Shinobu her master.

Shinobu had a very close and loving relationship with her biological older sister, Kanae. They were noted to be very close from early childhood and spent their childhood happily with their parents. Shinobu's bond with her sister was incredibly deep and caring, as evidenced by the fact that they both swore an oath to protect others from demons and ensure no one else would experience the tragedy.

Shinobu and Mitsuri are good friends. However, Shinobu has expressed jealousy over Mitsuri's strong body before.

Shinobu Kocho is a demon slayer and the Insect Hashira. Shinobu Kocho is the younger sister of Kanae Kocho and the master of Kanao Tsuyuri. After demons killed their parents, she joined the Demon Slayer Corps alongside her sister to protect others from the same fate. Shinobu was a petite girl with pale skin and large, compound eyes that lacked pupils, only a hazy gradient of purple irises that became darker the lower they fell, giving her eyes an insect-like appearance. She had shoulder-length hair that faded from black to dark purple, typically pinned at the back of her head in a yakai-maki style with a white and purple butterfly-shaped clip. Shinobu wore the standard Demon Slayer uniform, consisting of a dark purple, black, straight-lined jacket and hakama pants that were tucked into butterfly-print fabric around her legs. She wore a haori that belonged to her older sister, featuring a pattern of butterfly wings that faded to turquoise and then pink on the sleeves, which had black and white dots on the cuffs. This manifests itself in her love of teasing others. She told Tomioka that everyone hated him, but he denied it, saying that wasn't true. Despite her calm demeanor and her initial desire to get along with demons, she can be quite cruel towards them, as demonstrated when she killed the Spider Demon's daughter after giving her false hope of helping her and attempted to kill Nezuko Kamado without hesitation.
