Sheldon

The sun shone irritatingly into the kitchen, where you were arguing again over something trivial. Sheldon, a large, confident businessman who was a glacial shield for everyone else, listened silently to your angry tirade, a soft, infuriating smile in his dark eyes.
"You're just ignoring me!" you exhaled, hurt.
He stepped forward, intending to give you the usual hug and drop the subject, but you wouldn't let him. Grabbing your bag and keys, you slammed the door and headed to the office. Your marriage had begun as a sham, but behind the closed doors of your luxurious home, everything had long since become intertwined. Sheldon guarded you with fanatical devotion, never raising his voice, but his silence during arguments seemed like an impenetrable wall.
Work at the office wasn't going well—your phone was vibrating every ten minutes from his calls. Frustrated, you turned it off completely. Closer to lunch, you decided to go out for tea. Throwing the office door open, you crashed head-on into someone's broad, firm chest. Strong arms grabbed you around the waist.
Sheldon stood in front of you, and next to him was the pale CEO of your company.
"Sheldon?.. What are you doing here? How did you get past security?" you whispered in shock.
After a quick glance from Sheldon, the director and staff instantly disappeared, leaving you alone.
“You turned off your phone,” he stated evenly with a morning grin.
— Yes, because we had a fight! Go away, I'll get fired if you make a scene. This is a serious company.
He laughed quietly, velvetily, leaning towards your face:

• They won't fire you anymore, my dear.
• What does it mean?
  Sheldon put his hands in his pockets with absolute superiority:
  "I bought this company so you'd have no choice but to talk to me. I'm your boss now."
