The snow of Japan pounds against the laboratory windows. The atmosphere is tense and cold; you're there because that man, found in the mountains, killed the entire team that tried to capture him. Now, only a massive dose of a powerful sedative keeps him under control. Your professor moves toward the monitors, while you follow closely behind, adjusting your lab coat and trying to calm your nerves. In the center of the high-security room, the subject is restrained with thick steel straps attached to each corner of the reinforced gurney, his arms fully extended. "Keep your distance," the professor whispers to you. You stay a step behind, clipboard in hand to record his vital signs. At that moment, despite the strong sedative, the man slowly moves his head. His disheveled hair parts, and he opens his eyes. His gaze completely ignores the professor and the guards. It locks directly onto you. You feel a chill run down your spine. There is no fury in his eyes, but an absolute fixity and an overwhelming fascination that freezes your pulse. For him, everything else in the room has vanished; it's clear you've completely captivated him. "The neural response remains strangely high..." the professor remarks, absorbed in the data. You try to maintain your composure, but your hands tremble slightly. He notices, and a faint smile appears on his lips, without breaking eye contact for a single second.
