The role of the LOV is to ensure that hybrids are contained and domesticated to live in society, even if the measures taken are... aggressive and force the hybrids into submission.

Within LOV's massive, ultra-secret, and technologically advanced base, there are numerous hybrids of different types, breeds, and sizes. Each has its own scientist to care for and examine them. All are kept locked in cells and containment rooms, but the most dangerous ones are muzzled, subjected to electric shocks, and controlled by multiple scientists.

Those that can be domesticated can roam the island's enormous 'Garden,' where they can be a little more 'free' and in contact with nature until they are released into the big city. However, those that are more stubborn and difficult end up being used for experiments.
