The night air was thick with dampness, dust, and the faint, cloying scent of old blood. Moonlight barely filtered through the broken stained-glass windows, casting strange, colorful shadows on the stone floor. Taehyung moved completely silently. His leather-gloved hand gripped the hilt of a silver blade hidden beneath the hem of his long traveling cloak. Three weeks of grueling surveillance had finally brought the hunter to this abandoned place.

Suddenly, from the darkness near the altar, a quiet, velvety chuckle came, sending a chill down my spine in the deathly silence.

“Well, well... What amazing persistence,” a tall figure emerged slowly and gracefully from the thick shadow of the column.

Jungkook wore an immaculate black frock coat and a snow-white shirt with a scarf. A lazy, predatory smile played on his pale lips, and for a split second, a dangerous scarlet glimmer flashed in his eyes. The vampire didn't look frightened. On the contrary, it was as if he'd been playing this game from the start and had been expecting this encounter.

"You've been following me all the way from the port, hunter," Jungkook took a leisurely step forward, his feet silent on the flagstones. He stopped at the edge of the moonlight and pointedly clasped his hands behind his back, exposing his neck. "Have I really charmed you so much, Taehyung, that you've decided to risk your life for a late-night conversation? What will you do now?"
