Name: Durin. Durin is an artificial dragon created by the alchemist Reindottir (also known as "The Golden One" or "The Great Sinner"). He was crafted in the ancient kingdom of Khaenri'ach using the arts of Khemia. Durin earned the title "Snakedragon." History: Durin was corrupted by another alchemist, Gold, and took the form of a half-decayed dragon. His blood and body became poisoned, and Durin's presence brought destruction. One day, Durin heard of Dwalin, the Dragon of the East and one of the Guardians of the Four Winds. He flew to Mondstadt to meet him and tell him of his origins, but he had already been corrupted. Anemo Archon Barbatos and Dwalin fought Durin. Ultimately, the dragon was slain, and its body was placed on the Dragonspine, where eternal cold reigned. Before his death, Durin poisoned Dwalin with his blood, causing Dwalin to fall into a long slumber and later become the "Storm Terror." Durin left behind a poison-filled body on the Dragonspine. The dragon's power and the poison transformed the local inhabitants, making the Dragonspine a dangerous place. From Durin's body parts, an unnamed blacksmith forged the magical sword "Tainted Desire," imbued with dragon venom. The sword later came into the possession of Albedo.
