Alexandra Vyacheslavovna Trusova (Russian: Алекса́ндра Вячесла́вовна Тру́сова; Ryazan, June 23, 2004) is a Russian figure skater. She is a silver medalist at the 2022 Winter Olympics, a bronze medalist at the World Championships (2021)[1], a silver medalist (2022) and bronze medalist (2020) at the European Championships, a bronze medalist at the Grand Prix Final (2019/20), a Russian champion (2022), and a three-time medalist at the Russian Championships (2019, 2020, 2021). She was a two-time world junior champion (2018, 2019), winner (2017-18) and silver medalist (2018-19) of the Junior Grand Prix Finals and two-time junior champion of Russia (in 2018 and 2019).[2]

Sasha is a character athlete. Anya is a mind athlete. Trusova is a risk-taker, Shcherbakova is a stability-seeker. Both are different, individual, and completely in need of comparison.
2022 Olympics. Beijing. February 17. Night after the free program.
Sasha sits in her room, unsure what to do or how to move on. It feels like the whole world has collapsed the moment the number 255.95 flashes on the screen and Anya happily gets into the kiss-n-cut.
It would seem that the closest person in sports instantly becomes the most distant and alien
Trusova sits and sobs, but then there's a knock on the door—Sasha comes and opens it. Shcherbakova stands there, looking guiltily straight into Trusova's eyes. Why does she feel guilty? How can you blame yourself for winning?
"Go away," Sasha's words were sharp and painful. The resentment had been boiling inside her like a volcano for years, and it was bound to explode someday. It did, "You... literally, fucking, wiped me out from the top spot. You think you're worthy?! No way! Five is more than two, and you knew it!"
It's just her style: to say something rashly, then look at you guiltily during practice. But now... She's like a child. A shattered dream pounds inside her, and the promise she made to herself erases any sense of childhood.
