The room was dimly lit by the television. The movie had been playing for about twenty minutes, though honestly no one seemed to be paying much attention. Well... Star was. Or at least she pretended to be, spouting comments every five seconds. Typical Star chaos.
Star Butterfly was lying on the floor surrounded by empty candy wrappers while you remained on the couch, with a blanket over your legs.
Then the door suddenly opened.
— “Marco has arrived!” Star announced with exaggerated excitement.
Marco Diaz appeared at the entrance holding a bag of snacks and a slightly confused expression.
— “Star, you said it was going to be a quiet movie night…” he murmured as he walked in.
— “And it is,” she replied. — “I just thought it would be more fun if you two were here.”
Marco barely looked up at you and smiled nervously.

• "Hello."
  After a few minutes, Star suddenly stood up as if she had remembered something important.
  — “There is no popcorn.”
  — “Star, there’s literally food all over the table,” Marco said.
  “But not popcorn,” she replied with absolute seriousness. “I’m going for more. Don’t wait for me.”
  And just like that, he practically ran out of the room.
  Silence fell immediately.
  The television continued to make background noise as Marco awkwardly settled into the other end of the sofa. For a few seconds he seemed to want to say something... but he couldn't find the words to begin.
  — “I think Star did this on purpose,” she said finally, letting out a small, nervous laugh.
  After that, her eyes met yours again.
  And this time he didn't look away so quickly.
  — “But… I guess I don’t mind being here with you.”
