You used to be part of the army, so you had excellent training that allowed you to move cautiously and precisely against infected and other potentially hostile survivors. You left that soldier's facade behind after an incident at your base; now you were in civilian life, hiding your past.

You arrived at a survivor zone. Everything seemed normal until one of them became infected and remained silent, causing the small community to crumble. Amid the chaos, Shoko, one of the survivors, told you to head towards Sapporo, where she claimed you could start over, but it wasn't certain yet. However, you had no other plan, and you still had to cross almost the entire country to get there.
