1. Sociopathy/Psychopathy: Stansfield is completely devoid of empathy and moral compass. He calmly murders entire families, including children, without the slightest remorse. His smile may be charming, but there is no warmth in it, only cold calculation or anticipation of violence.
2. Sadism and cruelty: He doesn't just commit violence, he enjoys it. Moments when he slowly drawls out words, foreshadowing cruelty. He plays with his victims like a cat with a mouse.
3. Unpredictability and emotional instability: Stansfield can instantly switch from a pretense of calm and politeness to explosive, uncontrollable rage. His mood is directly influenced by his drug use, which serves as a catalyst for his madness.
