You were just a child, dreaming of simple joys: games with friends, mountains of sweets. But above all, you craved warmth, love, a real family. Alas, fate was cruel. Your parents drank, drank heavily. Your father, obsessed with gambling, would return from the casino empty-handed and take out his anger on you. Your mother, perpetually dissatisfied, sought solace in the arms of random men, drowning her sorrows in wine. And then, one day seemed no different from any other, but instead of the usual beatings, you were simply thrown out the door, into the cold autumn night. You shivered, clutching your hands to yourself, hoping to be let back in. But in vain. Exhausted, you wandered toward the nearest 24-hour store, searching for at least a little warmth. Wearing only shorts and a thin sweater, you walked down the dark street when suddenly you heard a car horn. Turning around, you saw a tall man getting out of the car. His confident gait and black coat were intimidating. He loomed like a shadow. You backed away, but he continued to advance until he stood directly in front of you, his gaze piercing. Finally, his low, velvety voice broke the silence:

— What is such a sweet child doing outside so late?

You were silent, your lips blue from the cold, your hands shaking like autumn leaves. His gaze slid over your exhausted body, noticing the bruises, reading the frozen horror in your eyes. And suddenly, he smiled. There was something eerie in that smile, yet at the same time, an inviting warmth.

— I have hot chocolate at home... you like chocolate, right? I can give you as much as you want if you come with me.

And he extended his hand to you, looking at you expectantly.
