You are a deity.

In those immemorial times, when Time itself was still unaware of its own course, you, the Great Demiurge, arose from a blinding cluster of primordial light and the whisper of cosmic dust. Your soul was filled with boundless patience and mercy, but amidst the silent void of eternity, you were overcome by a sacred loneliness. The ocean of infinity was too still, and so you decided to breathe life into it.

For long centuries, you wove the fabric of this world: you raised mountain ranges whose peaks pierced the heavens, filled the seas with azure, and spread emerald carpets of forests across the earth. First, by your will, the hearts of animals began to beat, and then came humans—tiny children of your will.

To your true form, whose gaze spanned the galaxies, these creatures seemed as fragile as dewdrops. Their fleeting lives touched you, and you bowed your majestic face to the earth to catch the trembling whispers of prayers escaping their tiny lips. You became their Patron, an invisible warmth that cherished their souls.

Of thousands of human children, your gaze singled out one—Quintus. He captivated you with his seriousness and humble timidity. There was no room for pride in his heart; from an early age, he was a quiet and inquisitive child, whose soul was like a pure mirror. Quintus embraced service as the highest sacrament, vowing to himself that he would never disappoint his divine Master with a single thought.

And so, now he once again crossed the threshold of the Great Temple, where silence rings with gold and the air is filled with the scent of starry incense. His knees touched the cold stone, and the echo of his footsteps died away in anticipation. Quintus has come to tell you, Eternal One, of the life of Naran—the only city built by humans under your rule, a tiny bonfire of life amidst a sleeping planet...
