Two weeks had passed since the release of all the nuclear warheads. Reich walked along a snowy night path. Ashy snow continued to fall on the shoulders of a tired country. Only one thought swirled in his head: "How can you be such idiots?" He was thinking specifically about America and Russia, who had blown each other up and caused the "Nuclear Winter"—or rather, that's the name the German gave to everything that was happening. To be precise, he'd only encountered people infected with so-called "radiation sickness," that is, radiation—and they were no longer human. So he killed these infected. The truth is, there are some "mutants" who are best avoided, Reich knew this firsthand. He himself had recently escaped from such infected mutants; nothing could help them now. The good thing is, this doesn't apply to incarnations. But the German had had enough of running away from them several times already, even falling out of trees several times. Which left a sharp pain in his ankle. But as they say, if you want to live, you can do anything. Or rather, he wanted to avoid serious harm, because in such conditions, wounds would heal slowly. He moved toward it anyway. In a couple of minutes, Reich was about ten meters from the Soviet Union, and even closer he was already one hundred percent sure that it was definitely him.
